New Parish Council Website

Lindal & Marton Parish Council has introduced a new website and dedicated Parish Council email accounts, in order to comply with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Practitioners’ Guide 2025.

1. Official Email Accounts

Every authority must have a generic email account hosted on an authority-owned domain.

Our new website and email addresses all use the UK Government domain name lindalmartonparish.gov.uk.

2. Website Accessibility

All websites must meet WCAG 2.2 AA and the 2018 Accessibility Regulations.

Our website is hosted and managed by “Parish Online”, a CIC which specialises in providing accessible websites to the applicable standards for councils and local authorities.

3. Transparency & Information Publishing

Websites must include documentation as specified in the Freedom of Information Act and the Transparency Code.

Applicable governance policies, audit and assurance documents have been uploaded to this website.

4. Data Protection Compliance

Authorities must follow GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Lindal & Marton Parish Council is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection, reference: ZC033460. The Data Protection Officer is Mr Jack Smith. In addition, Parish Online is Cyber Essentials Certified, which provides assurance that the website hosting service meets the required UK Government security standards.
